The Two Witnesses I usually assume the word of God as is writting, assuming interpretaion any interpretation only when it doesn't fall in a normal human activity. Of course fire from the mouth of two witnesses has to be interpreted as the word and power of God. These two are the anointed ones. What more prove we need. As far as these Two witnesses are two prophets of the old testament, it remains to be seen, Because it would fall in the normal course of activity. Well to understand this we must first undestand the word "witness". Witness is a person who can testify as an ocular witness. A person who has seen an activity with his own eyes. We all live by faith because we haven't seen God. But the TWO WITNESSES have seen them if not God himself , by his angels or Jesus himself. Either way as the bible says God is Father, Son and Holly spirit. If you have seen an angel, you have seen to God. If you have talked to an angel, you have talked to God. Angels specially are a comun way of God communicating with us. There hundreds of examples of these in the bible, Therefore these two witnesses can be two normal everyday Christians who have seen the wonders of God. Something not given to just anybody. They'll have the ultimate to say because they are the real witnesses and they can prove it to the world. Not just by words of preaching but by power given only to one who can get that close in person to God. I've seen preacher who have the power of healing, given by God. Well that is little compare to the power of God that these TWO WITNESSES will have. These "two " will rebuilt the temple of God in Jerusalem (rev says that these two will have some rods to measure the temple a term communly used by engineers) . They will preach to the Jews only as a last call. Of course, they will finally be killed by Muslims and the anti-christ because they are the majority in this area. Ask Bill Graham or any other to go that muslim territory to do big cruzades to preach to muslims the salvation with Jesus. I haven't seen that. Only the Two witness will do that. After these two witnesses are dead , the anti-christ will seat in the temple and ask to be worship. You see, this not very difficult to understand if you stay in the most possible way to happen.
